14 September 2024…….you lying bastard

I did some shopping today. I use an ordering/delivery service, shipt, for my groceries.

There were some items that have gone up a lot since the last week, when I ordered. 

I mean a lot. 

I don’t know how groceries are where you live, but I am of the opinion, then everything from Groceries, to fast food have gone up way too much in the past four years and by four years, and by four years I mean the past 3 1/2 years.

I wish that someone could wave a magic wand and help all the prices to go lower back to what they were before inflation was noticeable. 

10 August 2024……GO GIRL GO.

 I have been watching a lot of YouTube and it seems like almost every second video  that keeps coming up is about Caitlin Clark. Even someone who lives under a rock like me can see from the videos that she is something special when it comes to the sport of basketball.

I can’t believe there are so many haters out there that didn’t get the clue as soon as she started playing professionally. I understand she didn’t make it to the US Olympic team and I would say that is very a travesty.

She has talent and from what I’ve seen in the video she should be considered a female, Michael Jordan. The only other women’s basketball player I had ever heard of before her Was Brittany Griner and the only reason I heard about her was because she was arrested for possession of marijuana in Russia and sent to prison.

Now I am not the biggest sports fan by any stretch of the imagination. I took my boys to a women’s basketball game years ago because there was a special for students. At that time, when San Antonio Had a women’s basketball team. I was very surprised when I found out the team had moved to different city.

All I can say is that Caitlin Clark is probably the best thing to happen to the WNBA. I hope she becomes a billionaire and inspires countless young girls to do amazing things.

8 September 2024…..it’s a life.

I have become more and more convinced that Kamala Harris is just a placeholder for the Democrat nominee. 

She was not voted for by anyone.

Before she became the “nominee” she was the most unpopular vice president in American history.

I can’t see any redeeming feature for her or her runningmate.

I made a post on Facebook the other day.

One lady I know responded with “she is younger than 60.” Should people that are older than 60 be offended?

Sorry being 60, that’s not much of an accomplishment. Lots of people are younger than 60. I don’t think being older than 60 has anything to do with your mental capacity. Some people are very mentally acute up until the day they die, be it 90 or 100. Others not quite so much.(humans are a very faulty AI creation.)

Our current president for example is a great example of a walking potato.

I would dare say Donald Trump could probably run mental circles around me and most people I know including the lady that responded to my post. 

She is very smart. I would not deny her that, but I do question her ability to have emotional reasoning in the matter of Donald Trump running for political office.

Personally, I would like the whole world to vote for Trump. I would say he is being forced to run as a Republican when he is not really a Republican, but some people who have taken control of the Democrat party are so far left that they are not really Democrats, they are just Left. Democrat and Republican don’t mean much since I was little in the 1980s. At that point in time they both wanted what was best for the country. Now I question if……

Personally, I would really like it if there were maybe 20 different political parties that were forced to work together and make different kinds of coalitions that have to give and take. Any laws that favor a specific political party should be done away with so that we can have many more political parties enter the arena.

I have seen several different people posting that they will be voting for Kamala Harris. They may be a doctor. They may be an attorney. They may be all kinds of things. I would dare saying that whatever they are they have been hoodwinked into voting for a very questionable individual.

Sidenote, I knew a woman who was convinced that Bill Clinton was the greatest individual that has been born, to the point she wanted him to be her “boyfriend”. Despite the fact that there is overwhelming evidence that he is to say the least a womanizer. So the ability to think rationally is a very difficult and refined skill for some people.

Anybody can vote for whoever they like, or no one, if that suits them. The fact that some people have the ability to form words should not be the defining characteristic of giving people the right to vote. This is where I have a little bit of a personal problem with everyone voting. Some people don’t have anymore sense than a potato. But they can still vote. Some days I think everyone should vote.  Other days I think there should be some kind of limiting factor. So I am not exactly sure what the best thing to say would be.

It’s kind of like painting a room. You may be very excited about doing it, but that does not mean you have the skill to do it well. I have seen people that are very excited about painting a room. After they finish, I wonder if they were blind. Then there are people who are very aware of all the factors that go into painting a room well. 

2 September 2024….SURE

 I have become more convinced that the purpose of government is cheap entertainment. If I want to sit and be “entertained“ I go to YouTube and watch news or commentary about all of the political idiocy of the day or week. most of the commentary is coming from the US about the US.

 I would rather watch things like gardening or blacksmithing, but YouTube always puts the news about politics back in the feed. The people we elect are not the ones who wield power, but the ones who distract from the wielding of power.

More and more we are living in the actual story of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Set small on earth.

I know my view on politics is not overly optimistic, but it is definitely a very exciting sport to watch at times. 

The “ Democrat party“ is less than impressive. The Democrats haven’t been worth much, in my opinion, since John F. Kennedy was president and the Republicans, since Eisenhower. I don’t think politics have been worth much since the 20th century began. Everything since then has been cheap entertainment for the public at large, about the last seventy years have been the worst.

The world is stupid.

Most recent Star Wars stuff is pathetic and has been since The Force Awakens.

Disney is not worth much. I love lots of the old movies, but I refuse to get Disney+. i’m not major fan of Disney anymore. It used to be the gold standard of entertainment and amusement parks. Now it is….Not 

What I like the most is my plants.

I have a chili pepper plant. It has started growing new fruit since the hot part of summer has passed. I am very excited.

I have a friend who helped me make self watching containers and I think they work fairly well.

My son helped me create a bog of carnivorous plants. It’s not the biggest but that’s OK. And the plants have grown some and gotten a little bigger. It has been interesting to see how they have grown in the past month. 

Electric vehicles are a weak idea. I cannot imagine if everyone in a city the size of San Antonio had an electric vehicle. Sure I would not need to buy gasoline anymore. How much is my electric bill going up?  And if everyone is charging a car and running the air conditioner at the same time. Texas would be worse than California. 

I saw a post on Facebook about a man who added a charger/generator to his electric car. When the wheels turn it generates power that charge the battery. This would make a lot of sense. The car can generate its own electricity to recharge its own battery while it’s moving you could also put some kind of solar power on the outside of the car to help generate electricity with the car. The technology may not be the best right now, but as time goes on, it will get better. The idea that a electric car needs to be “refueled” similar to a gas powered car is beyond idiotic. We are supposed to be living in an age that doesn’t require gasoline, but we cannot break away from the idea of refueling exactly like gas powered car. 

Personally, I like the idea of electric cars, but trying to refuel them on the existing power grid is beyond stupid. If we can make better idea for refueling electric cars, they have a lot of potential.

Some days I want to stay in bed and wait for someone to wake me when the world explodes.

The world is stupid recently.

 Harris is diversely higher.

Biden possibly pooped his pants in front of the president of France.

Someone tried to shoot Donald Trump.

We live in the world that is every day more stupid.

I wish more of the world was like my grandpa. My mom‘s dad.

I remember when I was very young. He was running for office of some kind. He was running as a Democrat. That really confused me. My mom and dad were Republicans as far as I knew, how could my grandpa be a Democrat. How can any reasonable person be a Democrat I thought. My mom explained that it is because my grandpa felt that they, the Democrats, gave teachers a better deal. I agree in someways, but I also feel like parents and students get a better deal from Republicans. It is a very difficult balancing act.

That said my grandpa was, I would say, a very pragmatic person. He was also a very religious person. I do not like the fact that lots of people now days think religion is a mental disorder, and religious people are mentally disturbed in someway.

My grandpa, like I said, was very pragmatic. In a way I would dare say, and I am sure some people might not like me saying it, but I would say is simalar to Donald Trump, in many ways, very pragmatic. Trump is definitely not like my grandpa in many ways, but he is the kind of person who tells things like he sees them most of the time, like my grandpa did.

My grandpa was a very religious man, and I am very grateful for that. I know that Donald Trump is not a religious man. However, I do see him as a very ethical man.

One thing my grandpa said “If you’re in shit up to your chin, you’re bound to get some in your mouth.“ We are living in a very shitty world right now. So we most likely going to get it in our mouth every once in a while.

I don’t know if my grandpa would like Donald Trump or hate him, but I can make my own opinion. I am a big boy now.  I think that Donald Trump and my grandpa are more alike than most people would like to admit. If there are people who want to hate me for what I have said here, I can live with that unfortunately.

31 July 2024….I could drone forever

I hate the way I see the whole world acting crazy right now. There seems to be no escaping things. There is so much and I don’t know where to begin. But here are a few things 

 

The presidential raise is stupid.

No, Trump is not my favorite but if you look at the options that we had for the Democrats he is is solid gold. Joe Biden was, and has been, I would say pathetic. Kamala Harris, yikes, worse than Biden. 

This is where we are. How life could be more stupid. I am not quite sure right now.

Thing other thing, I don’t understand is a man or a woman can think they are the opposite sex. 

If you were born with the penis, you are a man and male. 

If you were born with a vagina, you are a woman and female. 

If you choose to go cut your dick off you are still a man, but you do not have a penis. 

If you are a woman and choose to cut your boobs off, you are still a woman but with no more boobs. 

Any person can dress anyway they want. I wear nail polish. I wear a beard. I buy some things in the women’s section at clothes stores. 

If you choose to dress any kind of way that is your choice, but I do not have to accept your delusion that you are a sex and/or gender other than what you where born as. 

Men are male.  

Women are female. 

You don’t get a choice. 

 You can dress however you like.  If you want to dress like a traditional female and you’re still a man that is all right I will fight for your right to dress as you want, but you cannot convince me that you are the sex other than you born.

Politics is the epitome of stupid lately. 

I saw something that politics is the entertainment branch of the government, I am inclined to agree.

Personally, I support Israel. It is a very complicated situation in the Middle East. I spend my time trying to figure out how to be a good Jew/Israelite most days. 

I need to do better at my budgeting. 

I had to get new tires for my car.

The entire tread came off and broke the side mirror. So I have to get a new side mirror as well.  We took the car to the tire store and I decided I had better replace all the tires. It has been a little while. But the car sure drives a lot more smoothly and my family is happier with it now.

Just a little something for the time being. I felt like I was really needing to post something.

11 July 2024…stupid world

I have been watching a lot of TV. Probably to much. 

YouTube is not really TV, but I like to watch because I can watch almost anything I want. Yesterday, I watched a show about bonsai trees that were given to the United States for our bicentennial. 

I love all the variety that is available. 

Other thing. 

My wife decided to get a dog. He is a very sweet dog. 

The rest is a but. 

The dog is mixed. 

Part chihuahua, part pit bull. Don’t know how that happened. Dad was chihuahua. Mom was a pit bull. 

So we got him when he was a month old. He is five months old now. When we got him he was 7 lbs., the last time we went to the vet to get his last rabies shot is he was 45 lbs. he might be larger now.

Like I say he is very sweet. Not a mean bone in his body. That said he barks a lot. Not all the time but a lot. 

He wants to play with the cat, but the dog is so hyper that the cat freaks out. 

The dog barks when ever anyone walks by the window. Also when my wife is in the same room he barks at her. 

So he is so sweet but so hyper and noisy. Probably because he is so young. 

I am trying to be very careful in what I say right now. I can’t take care of a dog. My wife has to do everything. I still want to go crazy if he jumps to lean on me. He will hit the controller for my wheelchair and I will go flying in who knows what direction. 

I would say he’s like a two year old that is six feet tall. 

My wife and I both love him but he is very frustrating at times
