So I have been thinking and studying about Christ’s teaching. He never told anyone to abandon the law of Moses. “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”Matthew 5:17

The law of the gospel that Christ gave ask people to do more than was expected of them. To go beyond logic and reason. “And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.” Matthew 5:41

You need to have logic and reason, the Law of Moses. Christ says you must to go beyond logic and reason. The law of the gospel, the realm of love. 

He realizes that we need logic and reason. Still they can only take us so far. We must go beyond logic or reason or whatever, into the realm of love. 

The apostle Paul taught this beautifully, but oil and water, the law of Moses and the law of the gospel, are not the easiest to mix together. 

In many ways water and oil can be used by themselves and can do wonders. Combined so much more. If we want to understand the law of the New Testament we must understand the law of the Old Testament. 

Is our love logical. Is our logic about loving.
